The
first instrument designed by Ellie Mannette was the Invader Lead
(or Low Lead). Widely regarded for its ease of playing even though
it has a scattered note pattern, this instrument is used by the
world's foremost professional lead players such as Andy Narell,
Len "Boogsie" Sharpe, Ray Holman, Robert Greenidge, and
Tom Miller. The sonority of the Invader Lead is unique and functions
well as an excellent solo instrument.
